This post includes things I have done directly due to U-M programs or activities since I first attended as an undergrad. Don’t tease about some of these things!

  • met people from Madagascar, Belize, Iraq, Mauritius, American Samoa, and more
  • realized my love of Indian, Middle Eastern and Thai food
  • played broomball
  • celebrated Hanukkah, Diwali, Ramadan, or any of the solstices or equinoxes with friends
  • driven on the left-hand side of the road
  • done research in a foreign language
  • soldered metal into jewelry
  • liked Shakespeare
  • gone rock climbing
  • presented at a conference
  • been friends with people who were openly and proudly transgender, bisexual, lesbian or gay
  • participated in a protest
  • spoken any Zulu or Spanish
  • been in the Pacific or Indian Oceans
  • driven from Michigan to California and back
  • written a blog 🙂
